Wally and Fiona occasionally join me (mostly for runs; eventually I want to get a sled…), but today they just hung out during mobility

I was telling some co-workers about a WOD and describing how sore my forearms were from doing Turkish get-ups with one pood. One of the designers was envisioning something very different: a Turk lifting poo over his head. I asked him to draw it for me :)

I decided that I would start posting my WODs now that I’m working out in my home gym. At some point I’ll post about my home gym too, but in the meantime…

Aside from the worthless cat comment, I agree: healthy should be normal, not an extraordinary condition we strive for. The barriers to health can be so obvious yet we’re blind to them, anticipating their absence with a sense of loss rather than a sense of gain.

This, this is exactly what I believe. It’s not exactly what I used to practice, and I suffered in the form of injuries that kept me away from the gym for months. Learn it early and learn it well!
